This guide outlines the comprehensive M.O.V.E.M.E.N.T. approach to treating musculoskeletal conditions, including arthritic and joint pain. At Movement Orthopaedic Institute, we understand that joint dysfunction and mobility issues are often more complex than conventional medicine recognizes. Many patients are told their pain is "just a matter of aging" or that medication and surgery are their only options.

Our unique, whole-person centered integrative approach goes beyond symptom management. We address eight key areas - Musculoskeletal health, Optimal nutrition, Vitality and energy, Exercise and mobility, Mindfulness and lifestyle, Endocrine and gut balance, Neutralize excess inflammation, and Toxins and detox - to identify and treat the root causes of your movement challenges.

We offer non-surgical rejuvenation approaches and personalized treatment plans informed by the latest medical science to help patients suffering from mobility issues and joint pain regain their freedom of movement and improve their quality of life.

HERE'S WHAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW...

3 Misconceptions About Musculoskeletal Health

"It's Arthritis, There's No Cure"

Could Your Pain Be Indicative Of Imbalances?

Consider someone experiencing shoulder pain who receives an arthritis diagnosis based solely on an X-ray. While the X-ray may show joint changes, it doesn't tell the whole story. The underlying reality is often more complex – your shoulder pain could be stemming from muscle imbalances affecting joint alignment, nutritional factors impacting tissue health, and hidden inflammatory processes that conventional imaging can't detect. Simply treating the visible joint changes without addressing these root causes may explain why traditional treatments often provide only temporary relief.

"You Can't Do Anything About Pain"

Is Your Specialist Surgeon Or GP Right?

There is this assumption that scans will show the pain source and that ageing will result in worsening pain. That’s not true at all! There are numerous lifestyle medicine and integrative approaches that have shown significant effectiveness in treating pain. These methods address underlying aspects that impact whole person health, offering more than just temporary relief but aiming for long-term healing and restoration of function. It's important to explore these options, as they can open doors to improved mobility and pain reduction that traditional methods might not offer.

"Drugs & Surgery Are The Only Options"

What Non-Surgical Options Should You Consider?

A prevalent misconception is that strong medications and surgery are the only viable treatments for debilitating pain. However, this overlooks the effectiveness of so many non-surgical ways to treat and overcome chronic pain. These innovative methods, focusing on healing and restoring the nervous and immune system function, offer effective relief without the need for invasive procedures – which is why so many of our patients partner with our team of specialists.
